One thing about fried carrot cake in Johor is that most of them are VERY sweet. This stall is the one that I found tolerable (there's another stall that you can order without the sweet sauce, but I have not tried it).
Well, this one runs almost like a factory line, as the guy cook like 8-10 portion at one go, and the lady will start packing and serve it out to those that fits the order. If you come early, you can find packs ready to go, as the guy already started cooking before the order comes in.
Speaking of factory line, there was suppose to be a queue, but people just cut in and shout the order to the lady, then took a step back and wait for their order.
The line before everything became hectic |
RM4 |
Of course that alone is not enough for dinner, so I had something extra:
RM5.70, from one of the many economy noodle stalls |
So in conclusion, a lot of food choice in the pasar malam, though most are standard pasar malam fare, not great, not bad (not the asam laksa though, tried two out of three, both are meh).
I also need to be more aggressive in getting my order across, was kinda stress with all the queue cutting today because I was trying to beat the rain. Screw being the nice(dumb) guy.
